From teller windows to commercial lending — a career shaped by business, community, and a drive to make finance feel human.
Founder’s Story
Sasha Bowers began her banking career in 2019, starting as a teller before quickly moving into commercial lending. While newer to the industry than 40–50 year veterans, she views that as an advantage — bringing fresh perspective, curiosity, and the drive to learn fast.
She grew up in a family-owned mechanical insulation business, which gave her early insight into what financial clarity means for both families and companies. Later, her years in Tulsa, working in and around the historic Black Wall Street, deepened her understanding of how financial knowledge can empower entire communities.
Through roles across respected financial institutions, Sasha gained experience with businesses, trusts, agriculture, and real estate, as well as exposure to different leadership and customer approaches. Those lessons, combined with her philosophy — “If you can’t deny yourself anything, then you are only allowing yourself a compromised version of everything.” — inspired her to create Imari.
Imari reflects Sasha’s mission: making finance human by giving people the tools and clarity to take control of their money and build lives they don’t feel the need to escape from.
